Can I send my child without a parent?
Yes, Avanza Sports will provide a chaperone 24/7 while in Madrid. We will pick the player up at the airport on the first day and drop the player on the last day of the program. You are responsible to book the “unaccompanied minor service” with the airline company for the player.
Do I need a visa to Europe/Spain?
Yes, since January 1st 2025 the rules of travel to Europe have changed, some 1.4 billion people from over 60 visa-exempt countries are required to have a travel authorisation to enter most European countries. For more information please visit: https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en
However, we always recommend you to contact the Spanish embassy in your city.
Is the family package per individual?
Yes, the family package is per person. Each individual needs to purchase their own family package.
Will my cell phone work in Spain?
Most cell phones wont work in Europe because they need to be triband and have the European provider. But if they work, make and receive phone calls will be more expensive than usual.
What is the electricity supply in Spain?
The electricity supply in Spain is different than in the United States so we suggest you travel with an adaptor or converter.
Is there a discount for siblings under 3 years old?
Yes, the family package for siblings under 3 years old is $625
While the players are training, do the families need to be at the training facilities?
Only applicable to the day parents are allowed at Valdebebas facility.
Will the players have free time to do homework?
Yes, the players will have free time between the activities to rest, spend time with their family members and also to do homework
Can I make my own air travel arrangements?
Yes, you are responsible for booking the flights for the player and the family members joining the program.
Do I need a passport to travel?
Yes, it is required to have a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity remaining to travel to Madrid. It is your responsibility to have a valid passport before joining the program.
Do I need an insurance to travel?
All players must have their own medical coverage. The organization provides only excess coverage (does not cover deductibles) after your insurance policy has been utilized.
When and what time should I land in Madrid?
You should land in Madrid on Saturday, between 7AM-12PM. The shuttles from the airport will be active between 8:00AM and 1:00PM. Avanza Sports will not provide transportation out of this period of time.
When will be the shuttles available from the residence to the airport?
Avanza will provide 2 or 3 shuttle times based on the departure flight time of the players attending the Madrid Experience.
Can I arrive earlier to Madrid or leave after the dates of the program?
Yes, you can, but Avanza Sports will not provide transportation from/to the airport.
What airport and terminal do I have to fly to?
Avanza Sports will only provide transportation from Madrid – Barajas Airport (MAD), terminal 1 and 4 (for those arriving in Terminal 2 and 3 you should walk in the corridor to terminal 1)
What will be the meeting point in Madrid airport?
Avanza Sports staff will be waiting just outside the arrivals area at the Madrid – Barajas airport at terminal 1 on the first day of the program (November 18th). You will see us as you arrive.
Will the players be rooming with the family members?
No, the players will stay in the player’s residence and the family members joining the experience will need to look for their own accommodation. Avanza Sports can advise you on the best areas to stay.
How does the rooming for the players work?
The players will be only roomed with players of their gender. The rooms will be for 4,6 or 8 players and they will be supervised by the chaperones sleeping at the same floor.
Who will take care of the players while at the residence?
Their chaperones will be with them 24/7.
Who are the chaperones?
The chaperones are qualified staff from Spain, bilingual and all of them have passed an official police background check in order to work with the players.
Do the players eat together with the rest of the team and the chaperone?
Yes, players will eat together as a team and supervised by their chaperone at the athlete’s residence. If the parents want to have the players for a meal out, that should be notified to their chaperone and they will be responsible to get the players in time for the next activity in the program.
Will players require spending money?
This is completely optional and is their personal responsibility. We encourage the use of cards as opposed to cash, however if cash is preferred we advise that you check the exchange rates.
What if my child has food allergy?
Avanza Sports will ensure every food allergy is well taken care and the player still receives a nutritious Mediterranean meal three times a day. It is very important that you provide the allergies or special needs of the player to Avanza Sports prior to the start of the program. *Note that family members are not allowed to stay in the players’ residence and will need to be in contact with their chaperone when picking up and dropping the player at the residence during the week
What is the best way to transport soccer gear?
Avanza Sports suggests players to bring their football equipment in a carry-on bag in order to avoid any delays if in the unfortunate event a bag gets lost during transits.
Does Avanza Sports provide soccer gear for the players?
Yes, each player will receive 1 Real Madrid Training kit (jersey, shorts and socks), 1 Avanza Sports Game kit (jersey, shorts and socks) and 1 Avanza Sports Travel kit ( T-shirt, pants, zip jacket and backpack). Depending on the weather conditions player can receive a rainy jacket/winter jacket and thermal under t-shirt.
When do the players receive the uniforms and the travel kit?
Players will receive their uniforms and travel kits once they arrive to Madrid.
What happens if my child loses part of the Avanza Sports gear?
Avanza Sports is not responsible if a player loses an item of the clothing. Therefore we will not be able to supply with any additional kit. You will be able to purchase extra gear if that would happen.
Will the players get their clothes washed?
All the players will get their uniforms washed at least one time during the week, both the training kits and the game kits.
Do I need a soccer ball to participate in the program?
No, all the training and game material will be provided by Real Madrid and the Spanish soccer clubs. You will receive a “what to bring” list prior to the start of the experience.
How long are the Real Madrid training sessions?
The Official Real Madrid training sessions will be 1 hour and 30 minutes long. Real Madrid coaches will analyze and summarize all the concepts learnt at the end of each practice session.
What is the structure for the friendly games?
The games will be played in turf grass, 7vs7 or 8vs8 and the matches will be 20-25 minutes per half.
Can parents attend the professional games and the cultural activities?
All the players and families with package can join the activities with the group.
Can parents without the family package attend the friendly games and practices?
They can only attend the friendly games but they will need to arrange their own transportation. The Real Madrid practice at Ciudad Deportiva Real Madrid is only for family member package.
How do you know if I purchased the family package?
Families who have purchased the family package will receive a wristband that they will need to wear during the experience. The wristband gives you access to all the activities and transfers during the week. Our staff will give you the wristband on the first day of the program
When will I know the final schedule for La Liga game?
The exact day and time for LaLiga game is released by LaLiga some 2-3 weeks before the date of the game, as it depends on the TV rights. This affects the rest of the cultural activities, as we determine the timing for all the weekend in accordance to these games so that the different activities do not overlap.
When and where do I collect the tickets for the games?
Information on this matter will be sent to you by email, informing the exact time and place where you can collect the tickets for the games.
How are the tickets assigned? Will I be able to see the games with my son/ daughter?
The tickets provided by the clubs for big groups are assigned depending on the availability for each game. We receive the tickets between 48 and 24 hours before the game and assign the tickets trying to put families and players within consecutive seats. In case that there are no consecutive seats available we will assign the nearest seat.
Do the kids and families will have Free time?
Players and families will have a full day off during the experience to do as they wish.
Can I bring food for my child to the hotel?
No, due to internal and hotel policy, it is not allowed to bring food from inside the hotel. Children will have a menu tailored to their needs and tastes, all verified by our staff. As well we will have different snack options.
Can I take my child out for lunch or dinner during the experience?
No, the players must stay with the team during the whole experience because for us it is very important the group cohesion and we believe it is a fundamental part of their development, for this reason we have introduced the Family Day for them to do the activities you like the most.
Can La Liga Game happen on my arrival day?
Yes, LaLiga game can happen on your day of arrival. That is why you should land on the previous date and hour mentioned.
Do I need to arrange my air travel arrangements?
Yes, families are responsible for booking all the necessary travel arrangements, including the visa (if needed).
¿Puedo enviar a mi hijo sin uno de sus padres?
Sí, Avanza Sports proporcionará un acompañante las 24 horas del día durante su estancia en Madrid. Recogeremos al jugador en el aeropuerto el primer día y lo llevaremos de vuelta el último día del programa. Usted es responsable de reservar el «servicio de menor no acompañado» con la compañía aérea para el jugador.
¿Necesito un visado para viajar a Europa/España?
Sí, desde el 1 de enero de 2025 han cambiado las normas para viajar a Europa, y unos 1400 millones de personas de más de 60 países exentos de visado deben tener una autorización de viaje para entrar en la mayoría de los países europeos. ¿El paquete familiar es por persona?
Sí, el paquete familiar es por persona. Cada persona debe adquirir su propio paquete familiar.
¿Funcionará mi teléfono móvil en España?
La mayoría de los teléfonos móviles no funcionan en Europa, ya que deben ser tribanda y tener un proveedor europeo. Pero si funcionan, realizar y recibir llamadas será más caro de lo habitual.
¿Cuál es el suministro eléctrico en España?
El suministro eléctrico en España es diferente al de Estados Unidos, por lo que le recomendamos que viaje con un adaptador o un convertidor.
¿Hay descuento para hermanos menores de 3 años?
Sí, el paquete familiar para hermanos menores de 3 años cuesta 625 $.
Mientras los jugadores están entrenando, ¿las familias deben estar en las instalaciones de entrenamiento?
Solo aplicable al día en que se permite la entrada de los padres a las instalaciones de Valdebebas.
¿Los jugadores tendrán tiempo libre para hacer los deberes?
Sí, los jugadores tendrán tiempo libre entre las actividades para descansar, pasar tiempo con sus familiares y también para hacer los deberes.
¿Puedo organizar mi propio viaje en avión?
Sí, usted es responsable de reservar los vuelos para el jugador y los familiares que participen en el programa.
¿Necesito un pasaporte para viajar?
Sí, es necesario tener un pasaporte válido con al menos 6 meses de validez para viajar a Madrid. Es su responsabilidad tener un pasaporte válido antes de participar en el programa.
¿Necesito un seguro para viajar?
Todos los jugadores deben tener su propia cobertura médica. La organización solo proporciona cobertura excedente (no cubre franquicias) después de que se haya utilizado su póliza de seguro.
¿Cuándo y a qué hora debo aterrizar en Madrid?
Debe aterrizar en Madrid el sábado, entre las 7:00 y las 12:00. Los traslados desde el aeropuerto estarán activos entre las 8:00 y las 13:00. Avanza Sports no proporcionará transporte fuera de este horario.
¿Cuándo estarán disponibles los traslados desde la residencia al aeropuerto?
Avanza proporcionará 2 o 3 horarios de traslado en función de la hora de salida del vuelo de los jugadores que participen en la Madrid Experience.
¿Puedo llegar antes a Madrid o marcharme después de las fechas del programa?
Sí, puedes, pero Avanza Sports no proporcionará transporte desde/hacia el aeropuerto.
¿A qué aeropuerto y terminal tengo que volar?
Avanza Sports solo proporcionará transporte desde el aeropuerto de Madrid-Barajas (MAD), terminales 1 y 4 (los que lleguen a las terminales 2 y 3 deberán caminar por el pasillo hasta la terminal 1).
¿Cuál será el punto de encuentro en el aeropuerto de Madrid?
El personal de Avanza Sports estará esperando justo fuera de la zona de llegadas del aeropuerto de Madrid-Barajas, en la terminal 1, el primer día del programa (18 de noviembre). Nos verás nada más llegar.
¿Los jugadores se alojarán con los familiares?
No, los jugadores se alojarán en la residencia de jugadores y los familiares que se unan a la experiencia deberán buscar su propio alojamiento. Avanza Sports puede aconsejarles sobre las mejores zonas para alojarse.
¿Cómo funciona el alojamiento de los jugadores?
Los jugadores se alojarán solo con jugadores de su mismo sexo. Las habitaciones serán para 4, 6 u 8 jugadores y estarán supervisadas por los acompañantes que dormirán en la misma planta.
¿Quién cuidará de los jugadores mientras estén en la residencia?
Sus acompañantes estarán con ellos las 24 horas del día, los 7 días de la semana.
¿Quiénes son los acompañantes?
Los acompañantes son personal cualificado de España, bilingüe y todos ellos han superado una verificación oficial de antecedentes policiales para poder trabajar con los jugadores.
¿Los jugadores necesitarán dinero para gastos personales?
Esto es totalmente opcional y es responsabilidad personal de cada uno. Recomendamos el uso de tarjetas en lugar de efectivo, pero si se prefiere el efectivo, aconsejamos que se comprueben los tipos de cambio.
¿Qué pasa si mi hijo tiene alergia alimentaria?
Avanza Sports se asegurará de que todas las alergias alimentarias sean atendidas adecuadamente y de que el jugador siga recibiendo tres comidas mediterráneas nutritivas al día. Es muy importante que comunique las alergias o necesidades especiales del jugador a Avanza Sports antes del inicio del programa. *Tenga en cuenta que los familiares no pueden alojarse en la residencia de los jugadores y deberán ponerse en contacto con su acompañante cuando recojan y dejen al jugador en la residencia durante la semana.
¿Cuál es la mejor forma de transportar el equipo de fútbol?
Avanza Sports sugiere a los jugadores que traigan su equipo de fútbol en una bolsa de mano para evitar retrasos en caso de que, por desgracia, se pierda una maleta durante el transporte.
¿Avanza Sports proporciona el equipo de fútbol a los jugadores?
Sí, cada jugador recibirá 1 equipación de entrenamiento del Real Madrid (camiseta, pantalones cortos y calcetines), 1 equipación de juego de Avanza Sports (camiseta, pantalones cortos y calcetines) y 1 equipación de viaje de Avanza Sports (camiseta, pantalones, chaqueta con cremallera y mochila). Dependiendo de las condiciones meteorológicas, los jugadores pueden recibir una chaqueta impermeable/chaqueta de invierno y una camiseta térmica.
¿Cuándo reciben los jugadores los uniformes y el kit de viaje?
Los jugadores recibirán sus uniformes y kits de viaje una vez que lleguen a Madrid.
¿Qué ocurre si mi hijo pierde alguna prenda del equipamiento de Avanza Sports?
Avanza Sports no se hace responsable si un jugador pierde alguna prenda. Por lo tanto, no podremos suministrar ningún equipamiento adicional. En tal caso, podrá adquirir el equipamiento extra.
¿Se lavará la ropa de los jugadores?
Se lavará el uniforme de todos los jugadores al menos una vez durante la semana, tanto el equipamiento de entrenamiento como el de partido.
¿Necesito un balón de fútbol para participar en el programa?
No, todo el material de entrenamiento y de juego será proporcionado por el Real Madrid y los clubes de fútbol españoles. Recibirá una lista de «qué llevar» antes del inicio de la experiencia.
¿Cuánto duran las sesiones de entrenamiento del Real Madrid?

Todos los jugadores y las familias con paquete pueden participar en las actividades con el grupo.
¿Pueden los padres sin paquete familiar asistir a los partidos amistosos y a los entrenamientos?
Solo pueden asistir a los partidos amistosos, pero deberán organizar su propio transporte. El entrenamiento del Real Madrid en la Ciudad Deportiva Real Madrid es solo para el paquete de familiares.
¿Cómo sabré si he comprado el paquete familiar?
Las familias que hayan comprado el paquete familiar recibirán una pulsera que deberán llevar puesta durante la experiencia. La pulsera te da acceso a todas las actividades y traslados durante la semana. Nuestro personal te entregará la pulsera el primer día del programa.
¿Cuándo sabré el horario definitivo del partido de LaLiga?
La fecha y la hora exactas del partido de La Liga las publica La Liga unas 2-3 semanas antes de la fecha del partido, ya que dependen de los derechos televisivos. Esto afecta al resto de las actividades culturales, ya que determinamos el horario de todo el fin de semana de acuerdo con estos partidos para que las diferentes actividades no se solapen.
¿Cuándo y dónde recojo las entradas para los partidos?
Te enviaremos la información al respecto por correo electrónico, indicándote la hora y el lugar exactos donde podrás recoger las entradas para los partidos.
¿Cómo se asignan las entradas? ¿Podré ver los partidos con mi hijo/a?
Las entradas que proporcionan los clubes para grupos grandes se asignan en función de la disponibilidad para cada partido. Recibimos las entradas entre 48 y 24 horas antes del partido y las asignamos intentando que las familias y los jugadores se sienten en asientos contiguos. En caso de que no haya asientos contiguos disponibles, asignaremos los asientos más cercanos.
¿Los niños y las familias tendrán tiempo libre?
Los jugadores y las familias tendrán un día completo libre durante la experiencia para hacer lo que deseen.
¿Puedo llevar comida para mi hijo al hotel?
No, debido a la política interna y del hotel, no está permitido llevar comida desde fuera del hotel. Los niños tendrán un menú adaptado a sus necesidades y gustos, todo ello verificado por nuestro personal. Además, tendremos diferentes opciones de aperitivos.
¿Puedo llevar a mi hijo a comer o cenar fuera durante la experiencia?
No, los jugadores deben permanecer con el equipo durante toda la experiencia porque para nosotros es muy importante la cohesión del grupo y creemos que es una parte fundamental de su desarrollo, por eso hemos introducido el Día de la Familia para que puedan realizar las actividades que más les gusten.
¿Puede coincidir LaLiga Game con mi día de llegada?
Sí, LaLiga Game puede coincidir con su día de llegada. Por eso debe aterrizar en la fecha y hora mencionadas anteriormente.
¿Tengo que organizar mi viaje en avión?
Sí, las familias son responsables de reservar todos los preparativos necesarios para el viaje, incluido el visado (si es necesario).
