A few short weeks ago, Avanza Sports took 100 soccer players from the United States to Madrid for the trip of a lifetime with the help of our partners in the Real Madrid Foundation Clinics. Over the 10 day experience, the players and families had the opportunity to train at both the world renowned facility of the Ciudad Real Madrid in Valdebebas, where the 13 time UEFA Champions League players train and Las Rozas Facility which is home to the Spanish Football Federation.
The players also had the opportunity to explore the two major stadiums in Madrid, the Santiago Bernabeu of Real Madrid and the Wanda Metropolitan of Atletico Madrid, and share in a group dinner at the restaurant inside the Santiago Bernabeu. During the week of training, the players trained in the morning and competed in the afternoons against local Spanish clubs like Pariso CF, NAYA and AD Villa Rosa. The players showed their skills and represented the US players very well!
To cap off what can only be described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the players were introduced to Marcelo from the Real Madrid first team, winner of 4 UEFA Champions Leagues, 4 La Liga titles and 3 UEFA Club World Cups.
See some of the feedback we got from those players and families that joined us on this amazing experience:
Beautiful experience!! We look forward to it in the future. Grateful for Real Madrid Foundation and the great culture and what they do for our children.
My daughter was there having a great time at the camp at the official Real Madrid facilities!
It was the best experience my girls and I had. We loved every moment in Madrid and our family chaperone was amazing.. I will definitely come back next year if my girls get picked, Thank you!
Meeting Marcelo from the Real Madrid first team was the highlight of Brooks’ life! We hope to be back soon!
Amazing experience for our entire family! Well organized, good communication, great staff, exceptionally planned activities. The entire package created a once in a lifetime experience and exceeded our high expectations!
I enjoyed the friendly games between the kids. It was such a good eye opener for the kids as well as parents that there are kids better than our and that just means working harder to improve our kids skills!’
We would like to thank all the players and parents who joined us on this trip for making it an unforgettable memory and we can’t wait to go back next year with a new group on players from our 2020 Real Madrid Foundation Camps! If you haven’t already, register now for your chance to be selected to train in Madrid!
