A few short weeks ago, Avanza Sports took 100 soccer players from the United States to Madrid for the trip of a lifetime with the help of our partners in the Real Madrid Foundation Clinics. Over the 10 day experience, the players and families had the opportunity to train at both the world renowned facility of the Ciudad Real Madrid in Valdebebas, where the 13 time UEFA Champions League players train and Las Rozas Facility which is home to the Spanish Football Federation.
The players also had the opportunity to explore the two major stadiums in Madrid, the Santiago Bernabeu of Real Madrid and the Wanda Metropolitan of Atletico Madrid, and share in a group dinner at the restaurant inside the Santiago Bernabeu. During the week of training, the players trained in the morning and competed in the afternoons against local Spanish clubs like Pariso CF, NAYA and AD Villa Rosa. The players showed their skills and represented the US players very well!
To cap off what can only be described as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the players were introduced to Marcelo from the Real Madrid first team, winner of 4 UEFA Champions Leagues, 4 La Liga titles and 3 UEFA Club World Cups.
